Renovation of a Coastal Cottage in East Geelong with the Unique Touch of Tiles of Ezra

Updated: Feb 8

In the charming town of East Geelong, a 1920s cottage has been transformed into a modern coastal retreat. Stef, together with her father, embarked on this renovation project with a clear vision: to blend the home's classic charm with a contemporary and warm design. To achieve this, they chose the handcrafted tiles from Tiles of Ezra, which played a crucial role in the renovation of the kitchen, pantry, and laundry room.

Design and Materials: A Perfect CombinationThe use of terracotta tiles in earthy tones, with their natural textures, added a special warmth to the spaces. In the kitchen, the Mediterranean-style tiles not only added visual appeal but also reinforced the sense of a cozy and vibrant home. In the pantry and laundry, the choice of handcrafted tiles continued this aesthetic, creating a sense of continuity and harmony throughout the home.

A Family Project with a Luxurious FinishThis renovation stands out not only for its impeccable design but also for the story behind it. The collaboration between Stef and her father reflects dedication and a love for details, where each tile was meticulously chosen to complement the overall style of the cottage.

Tiles of Ezra, with their commitment to offering high-quality and artisanal design products, have proven to be a perfect choice for those looking to add a unique touch to their renovation projects.

  • Pantry Splashback: In the pantry, she opted for EZRTIER1010 Nieve tiles, whose delicate texture and crisp white color bring a sense of spaciousness and freshness.

  • Kitchen Island Bench: The kitchen island, the focal point of the home, was clad with EZR1550 Thin Clay Bejmat tiles, which provide a tactile and textured elegance. The rich earthy tones of these tiles complement the cottage's vintage character while adding a contemporary edge.
